Angela is a fearless litigator focusing on sexual assault, harassment, and revenge pornography in employment, civil, and criminal contexts. She has been counsel in some of Toronto’s highest-profile cases including litigation involving various politicians, political parties, and media personalities.
Her experience includes litigating hundreds of matters before the Provincial Courts, Superior Courts, Divisional Court, Ontario Court of Appeal, the College of Physicians and Surgeons, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Angela knows that strategic thinking and exhaustive preparation are crucial to obtaining a successful result.
Angela is an uncompromising advocate for her clients. She understands the overwhelming impact of the litigation process on her clients, and she works closely with them to obtain the best results possible.
Angela regularly publishes book chapters and case commentaries on issues of substantive equality, including gender-based and LGBTQ+ equality issues. She is a regular lecturer at the University of Toronto, Osgoode Hall Law School, Start Proud, and is frequently asked to speak to young lawyers on progressive legal issues.
