Millard & Company welcomes Marcus McCann

Beth Symes, Carol Street, and Ben Millard are pleased to announce that Marcus McCann has joined Millard & Company as associate counsel.

Marcus joins a firm with a long history. Millard & Company provides expert legal advice and advocacy in all areas of civil litigation, with a particular focus on labour law, employment law, human rights, professional regulation, and regulatory law. Our lawyers have appeared before all levels of courts and tribunals in Ontario and across Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Marcus is a graduate of the University of Toronto faculty of law. He completed his articles in labour and civil litigation and was called to the bar in 2015.

Before becoming a lawyer, Marcus was a journalist who covered local and national issues for a variety of publications. Marcus has spoken at many events, including the Third Symposium on HIV, Law and Human Rights, Freedom to Read Week, and the Canadian Labour Congress’s Rise Up! Conference.

Marcus will be assisting the team at Millard & Company in the areas of employment/labour, human rights and administrative law.
